This insulated plasterboard is the Thin-R Thermal Liner (Dot & Dab XT/TL) from Unilin Insulation and provides a high-performance solution for insulating drylining walls fixed with adhesive dabs.

The system consists of a composite PIR insulation core bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard, designed specifically for internal applications and installed using proprietary adhesive bonding.

Thin-R Thermal Liner delivers insulation and drylining in one operation, making it a highly efficient solution for both new build and renovation projects.

The composite kraft facings on both sides incorporate an integral vapour control layer, helping to significantly reduce the risk of condensation when installed correctly.

Manufacturing processes, quality control, and fixing methods are fully certified, ensuring consistent product quality and reliable performance on site.

Thin-R Thermal Liner XT/TL is designed to provide high levels of thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, making it a preferred solution in modern construction and renovation projects.

The vapour control layer within the composite facing helps reduce condensation risk. When joints are sealed and taped in accordance with good drylining practice, a continuous vapour control layer can be achieved.

Fire safety detailing is important during installation. Fire stops should be installed at the top and bottom of boards and around all openings such as doors and windows. These are formed by continuous adhesive ribbons, which also help reduce thermal looping and improve overall wall U-values.
