Application information:

To get the best results make sure allow all new surfaces to dry out completely.

Wash down previously painted surfaces with a detergent solution to remove dirt, grease, chalking paint etc. where practicable.

Rinse off with clean water and allow to dry.

Carefully scrape back to a firm edge all areas of poorly adhering or defective coatings and rub down thoroughly to 'key and feather' broken edges of existing coatings.

The normal finishing process is 2 full coats of Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition,

where similar colours are used, 1 coat may be sufficient.

After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with clean water.

The Dulux Weathershield collection captures the beauty of the Irish landscape with colours that enhance and protect your home.

Here are some handy hints for making the most of any home exterior.

General Considerations

The Dulux Weathershield range is designed to complement our natural light and landscape.

All colours tend to look lighter outside than under artificial lighting in stores so examine your choices outdoors.

Consider your environment.

If you live in a town or city, compare your colour choices with what your neighbours have next door so both colour schemes sit comfortably together.

Warm neutrals are the most prevalent choice for contemporary and traditional homes.

Brittas Sand and Cobblelock have a hint of grey to suit our Irish northern light.

Brick & Stone Cladding

Homes with terracotta brick can opt for colours like Claystone or Brittas Sand.

You can make the look complete with Bitter Chocolate or Merlin on the sills and plinth.

Brick colours that have yellow undertones work best with colours like Inch Strand, Wattle and Hayfield.

Natural stone cladding usually has grey and green undertones that can be enhanced by colours such as Soft Avoca, Knock na Rí and new colours Rugged

Shore and Cashel Clay.

Windows

Whatever shade of white your windows are, give the impression they are larger than they appear by painting your window reveals in a similar colour.

Timber windows?

Paint the reveals in white or off-white to highlight them.

Then choose colours such as Olive Garden, Knock na Rí or Soft Avoca for a harmonious look.

* Shower resistant test was carried out in Dulux Ireland laboratories in an environment above 7 degrees Celsius, one shower of 80-90 grms of water was sprayed over an area of 1 square metre.
