Aerosana Visconn Air Tightness Paint (10 Litres) is a flexible, water-based acrylic air barrier that forms a seamless, elastic, airtight membrane once dry.

It fills gaps up to 3mm, with larger gaps requiring Visconn Fibre.

Main Purpose:

Easy-to-apply liquid membrane to seal areas that are difficult or time-consuming to seal with tape.

Where to Use:

For smooth or rough surfaces like brick, blockwork, stone, concrete, timber, and wood-based panels.

It’s ideal for large or small areas, especially where tape is unsuitable. Gaps should be no more than 3mm wide.

Coverage:

Typically covers 8 to 12m² per 10 litres.

Where to Use It:

Primarily used indoors on brick and blockwork to seal porous surfaces and prevent air leakage.

It’s a lightweight alternative to traditional airtightness methods on masonry buildings and can be combined with vapour-open boards in timber frame buildings.

It can also be used externally in sheltered locations.

What it Does:

Creates an airtight, elastic membrane that sticks to construction materials and Pro Clima membranes, allowing moisture movement while ensuring airtightness.

How it Works:

Aerosana Visconn is applied in several coats to seal the substrate’s pores.

Once dry, it forms a flexible airtight film.

The black version changes colour when dry, while the white version remains the same colour.

For gaps over 3mm, use Visconn Fibre (up to 20mm).

Why We Love It:

Visconn’s elasticity accommodates movement in buildings, making it ideal during the drying phase.

It’s tested and certified by the Passivhaus Institute and suitable for critical areas like window and door junctions.

The white version blends well with light-coloured surfaces and meets health and safety requirements in certain settings.

System Warranty:

Pro Clima offers a 10-year warranty for correct installation with Pro Clima products and a 6-year warranty when combined with other manufacturers’ products.

Features:

  • Speedy.
  • Versatile.
  • Permanently Flexible.
  • Humidity variable.
  • PH certified.
  • Drying times.
  • Safe to use.
  • Available in black or white.

Benefits:

  • The application can speed up airtightness installation significantly, especially in awkward retrofit areas around timber elements such as timber joist ends.
  • Can be spray, brush or roller applied in a variety of locations internally or externally.
  • Once dried it has excellent elasticity giving a robust, long term flexible airtightness layer that allows for movement.
  • It is an intelligent airtightness layer with a variable sd value, meaning it maintains vapour movement in the wall/roof.
  • Dries quickly and so allows for better sequencing and more efficient labour on site.
  • Reduces moisture levels on site in comparison to parge coats or a 2 coat wet plaster system on blockwork/ brickwork. ISO 16000 hazardous substance compliant.
