Uses and description:

To facilitate all year round construction where ambient temperatures may normally cause a lull in the rate of production.

A premium grade, chloride-free, frost proofer and rapid hardener designed to allow the use of mortars/concretes in freezing conditions as well as accelerating the rate of cure.

ARC Frostproofer and rapid hardener increases the rate of hydration, accelerating the rate of cure as well as allowing a reduction in the total volume of gauging liquid required, therefore, improving the frost resistance of the mortar/concrete.

Application:

Add to gauging water to the ration of 2½-5 litres of Liquid Frostproofer & Rapid Hardener to each 50kgs of cement and reduce the total volume of gauging water accordingly.

After laying of the mortar/concrete take usual precautions for the protection against climatic conditions.

For plugging pressure leaks mix neat with Portland Cement to a putty like consistency before pressing into the hole immediately as this will begin to cure within 2-5 minutes of mixing under normal conditions.

Limitations:

For use below 4°C hot water is recommended.
