Product Description

Wall Tile White Adhesive Arc Pro-Flex – Also Suitable for Underfloor Heating and Timber Floors – 20kg

Arc Pro-Flex is a white, flexible, regular-setting, cement-based, highly polymer modified, thin-bed ceramic tile adhesive. It is suitable for fixing all types of ceramic floor and wall tiles, including;

  • Mosaics
  • Porcelain
  • Fully vitrified tiles
  • Marble
  • Natural stone
  • Slate

Arc Pro-Flex is ideally suited for application onto timber panels, plywood, concrete, blockwork, floor screeds and power-floated concrete without the need to include a flexible admixture in the mix. It has improved flexural strength, water-resistance and is suitable for swimming pools, underfloor heating applications and both interior and exterior use.

Arc Pro-Flex White Tile Adhesive features:

Surface Preparation:
Ensure the substrate is clean, firm, and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, and loose coatings. The surface must support the expected traffic load. Pro-Flex can be applied to dry or damp surfaces, but moisture-sensitive materials must remain dry. Seal worn or porous masonry with Arc Tiler’s Primer.
Pro-Flex can be applied to waterproof plywood, which must be 18mm thick, sealed on all exposed faces, primed, and fixed at 150mm centres as per BS 5385. Not suitable for tongue and groove or floating floors.
Gypsum plaster should be scored, primed with diluted Arc Tiler’s Primer, followed by a neat coat. New concrete floors should cure for 28 days. Underfloor heating should be turned off 48 hours before and 1 week after application. Ensure paint coatings are removed, and anhydrite screeds are dry with moisture content under 0.5%. Prime with 2 coats of Arc Tiler’s Primer (1st diluted, 2nd neat).
When tiling over existing tiles, ensure they are firm and clean. Apply a slurry coat of Arc Tiler’s Primer mixed with adhesive, then tile once dry.

Mix Preparation:
Do not use below 5°C. Mix Arc Pro-Flex with water (1 part water to 3 parts powder) until a soft, slump-free mortar is achieved. Do not add water to part-used adhesive. Ideal open time is 20-30 minutes, with light foot traffic after 24 hours.

Application Method:
For ceramic tiles, use a notched trowel to create a ribbed mortar bed. Apply a 3mm x 3mm notch for mosaics, a 5mm x 5mm notch for general wall tiling, and a 10mm x 10mm notch for floor tiling. Tiles can be adjusted for up to 10 minutes after fixing. Ensure full contact by twisting and sliding tiles. Back-butter large tiles or stone for maximum bonding. For rough surfaces, use Arc Floor Levelling Compound first.

Coverage:
Coverage is about 4kg per square metre for heavy-duty tiles and 3kg per square metre for wall tiles.

Grouting:
Grouting can begin when the tile bed is firm, usually around 24 hours, depending on conditions. Arc recommends specific floor and wall grouts.

Storage:
Store in original packaging for up to 12 months in dry conditions. Supplied in 20kg moisture-resistant sacks.

Bulky goods:

Bulky goods will be delivered on pallets and will be unloaded by the courier. All bulky goods are delivered kerbside. Unfortunately, the delivery company will not convey the goods into premises for storage unless agreed in advance. Access to the delivery location must be suitable for a truck and failure to provide suitable level ground for operating pallet truck may result in refusal to deliver by the courier. Please note delivery operators will apply safe procedures in relation to ongoing Public Health considerations..

Exceptional Goods:

Some building materials are extremely bulky and not practical to deliver outside Co. Sligo e.g. concrete blocks, tonne bags of sand or gravel or some lengths of timber. We have highlighted where this is the case in bold red writing. If you do order these products we will contact you to see if you want to pay an additional delivery charge or if you wish to cancel the order. Please do not take offence to this as some bulky goods may cost much more to deliver than the value of the goods. We are based in Sligo so can offer a local delivery service in this area using our own vehicles.

If there is a forklift or teleporter available onsite, we would appreciate if you could tell us in advance by filling out the special delivery notes when completing the order.

The Seller or the courier company will not be held responsible for any damage to goods or persons caused by the goods being unloaded by the buyer.

**Please contact us in advance of ordering if unsure of the above**

General:

Delivery shall be within a time period agreed between the Buyer and Seller and the Seller shall use its best endeavours to ensure that delivery takes place within the period agreed. The Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer for any loss or damage which may be suffered by the Buyer as a direct or indirect result of the supply of the Goods by the Seller being prevented, hindered or delayed by reason of any circumstances whatsoever which are outside the control of the Seller. Once delivery has been accepted the Buyer shall not be entitled to withhold or postpone payment of all or any portion of the price agreed, therefore.
