Maybe you have just spent too long walking up and down your lawn, maybe you just don’t have the time available anymore to mow your lawn, or maybe you just want to sit down with a refreshing drink and watch a contraption cut your lawn for you.

Whatever the reason, owning a robot lawn mower will give you more time to enjoy other things and they no longer cost the earth. Everyone has different budgets and different size gardens so we thought we would take a look at the best models that are available in our range in 2023.

Best robot lawn mower for a budget – Landxcape LX799 (For up to 300m2)

This is such amazing value and it is incredible how the manufacturer has managed to design and build this for such a low price (€399 at the time of writing).

This is a no frills robot lawnmower that does not require any programming whatsoever – you can just start mowing at the touch of a button.

This is for lawns that are up to 300m2 and it has some really clever safety features too like the shock sensor and safety sensor.

When the battery is getting low it automatically returns to the charging station which is of course included. It also recharges automatically when the battery is running low. You can easily adjust the cutting height with just one button and the cutting range is from 20mm to 50mm.

This is the best starter robot lawn mower of 2023 and is just terrific value all round.

Best robot lawn mower for small gardens – Worx WR130E

If you have a smaller garden that is up to 300m2 then we think that the best overall robot lawnmower for this size is the Worx WR130E.

This is an extremely clever machine with tons of features packed into it – and all at a great price of €749 at the time of writing.

The difference between this model and the likes of the Landxcape LX799 above is the added functionality – it is also a bit quieter.

The Worx models can be programmed and managed from your smartphone – and even using voice control. It has an adjustable cutting height between 20mm and 50mm and you can even set a schedule that it will automatically follow.

This unit cleverly returns to the docking station after mowing and automatically recharges its batteries when they are running low. It boasts a weatherproof construction and a rain sensor which tells it to go back to the charging station when it starts to rain.

There are also some great safety features such as the anti tilt function – if this is lifted up or tipped over then the blades will stop turning.

It is a fantastic bit of kit and if you have a smaller lawn but can stretch to a bigger budget than the Landxcape then this is the model for you.

Best robot lawnmower for medium sized gardens – Worx WR142E

This is the best model for anyone with a medium size garden of up to 700m2. This has all of the same great functionality and features of the smaller Worx model but also has added things like the ‘Cut to edge’ feature.

This gives you a really neat and tidy finish. This model can be programmed to cut different zones easily and again this is all done via your smartphone. You can schedule it to cut on different days and at different times and it comes back to the charging station automatically when the battery is getting low.

It is really simple to use and program and these Worx models are all brilliant value considering the features that are packed into them.

For medium sized gardens – this is our favourite robot lawn mower of 2023.

Best robot lawn mower for large sized gardens – Worx Landroid L WR155E

Our favourite robot lawn mower for larger gardens this year is the Worx Landroid L WR155E. This is designed for gardens that are up to 2000m2 and is the model with the biggest range and size.

This has all of the same features as the model for medium sized gardens such as smartphone scheduling and voice control and of course it comes back to the charging station when the battery gets low.

It has the same ‘Cut to edge’ feature as the medium sized model so gives that extra neat and professional finish along walls and borders and all of these Worx models use the same battery so you can interchange it with any 20v Worx tools that you might have.

This model allows you to programme and manage multiple zones and is priced at a tremendous €1695 (at the time of writing) which is amazing value considering the features and build quality.

This is all backed up with a two year warranty. This is hard to beat for anyone with a larger garden and is our favourite robot lawn mower for larger gardens for 2023.
