Building materials price tracker – quarterly report & good news
As we move into quarter four of 2023 it is an ideal time to look at how building material pricing has changed this year to date.
The news is good and positive for consumers as the general trend throughout 2023 is that prices have come down and are continuing to come down.
There is no expectation that pricing will return to pre-covid levels unfortunately but there is optimism that the trend will continue for the rest of 2023 and into early 2024.
Unforeseen challenges may still cause pricing to increase again and all manufacturers will advise caution in predicting how things will go.
For the time being at least we can see a reduction in material prices and ultimately a better scenario for anyone building, renovating, extending or involved in any of the trades.
