Eco Design Stoves are new solid fuel stoves that are more energy efficient and environmentally friendly and designed and built to the new EU Eco Standard Directive. Eco Design Stoves are now available in Ireland and produce an amazing 90% fewer emissions than an open fire, and 80% less than a 10 year old stove.

These types of pollutants are a risk to public health so the reduction of these emissions will improve air quality and be better for the environment overall. All Ecodesign Ready CE stoves must have a minimum seasonal efficiency of 65% and also have an SIA Ecodesign ready label (the Ecolabel rating ranges from A++ to G), which relates to the amount of energy used to generate heat.
