The Karcher SC2 EasyFix Steam Cleaner is the base model of the range you pull behind you as you clean – i.e. these are more powerful and robust than the Stick Cleaner design of the likes of the SC1 model.

There are two levels of steam control and a whole array of nozzles and attachments so you can tailor your cleaning to exactly the job at hand. We have found this excellent for the likes of standard floor cleaning and it also really performs well on wall tiles and even mirrors and bathroom taps.

Karcher state that this removes 99.999% of enveloped viruses and kills 99.99% of common household bacteria – all with just tap water. It weighs just 3kg so is no trouble at all to handle and move about and is just a great all round steam cleaner suited to the average Irish home.

The Karcher SC3 Steam Cleaner is the next step up from the SC2 and has a more powerful heat output of 1900 watts that produces 3.5 bar compared to the 1500 watts output of the SC2 that generates 3.2 bar.

It also has a descaler cartridge that is not included with the SC2 and reheats quicker at just 30 seconds compared with over five minutes for the SC2.

It covers the same floor area per fill and of course has the same ability stated by Karcher that it removes 99.999% of enveloped viruses and kills 99.99% of common household bacteria – all with just tap water. There is no need for any chemicals at all and it is a terrific steam cleaner when it has tougher stains to get through. You have all of the same control and nozzles as the SC2 so you can use this on floors, tiles, taps and even on widows and mirrors etc.

If you just need that extra bit of power and live in an area where descaling of water is important then we think this is the best model for you.

The Karcher SC1 Steam Cleaner has been extremely popular in Ireland for years and this steam cleaner is very lightweight and easy to use.

It can be used without the long attachment as a handheld cleaner for tiles, windows and mirrors etc and then used with the long attachment for floors all throughout the house – all again without chemicals.

It is particularly suited to the likes of apartments which might have less storage space available as the SC1 is easier to put away out of sight than the larger SC2 and SC3 models.

It still boasts 3 bar of pressure so is more than capable of getting tough jobs done and the attachments and nozzles mean you can use this right throughout the house.

If you are in a smaller house and don’t need the added strength of the larger models or any descaler cartridge then this is the model for you.
